Everton returned to winning ways in emphatic style as they secured a 4-0 win in front of the home fans at Goodison Park against Wolves.

Wolves just couldn’t cope with the set-pieces of Everton, as all four goals shared a similarity.

It remains to be seen as to whether this is just a temporary lift of pressure for Sean Dyche, as the Toffees face the most difficult fixture schedule in the Premier League.

It really was the perfect bounce-back game for Everton, keeping a clean sheet and finding their way in front of goal, albeit for some awful Wolves defending.

Regardless, Dominic Calvert-Lewin‘s performance caught the eye of a number of Everton fans, as they took to X to share their thoughts on the number nine.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s performance in numbers against Wolves

Dominic Calvert-Lewin put in a much improved performance for the Toffees, putting himself about in the box and holding the ball up in the final third.

The striker played 83 minutes before being substituted for Armando Broja. He had 30 touches in the match, one shot, one big chance missed, a passing accuracy of 76%, won five duels, lost possession eight times, was fouled twice and made two clearances (SofaScore).

His stats don’t look too promising but he looked much more involved and it was certainly a positive sign, despite being unfortunate not to get on the scoresheet.
