Everton fans all in total agreement over whether Armando Broja should be signed permanently

When Everton signed Armando Broja last summer, it was regarded as a smart bit of business.

Armando Broja burst onto the scene with Southampton during the 2021/22 campaign, scoring nine goals in all competitions.

Broja’s form was so impressive that he was fast-tracked to the Chelsea first team under Graham Potter when he return from his loan on the south coast.

However, unfortunately, the 2001-born striker suffered an ACL injury in December 2022, which ruled him out of action for the remainder of the season.

Since then, despite his best efforts, Broja just hasn’t managed to find his rhythm and has picked up other injuries.

Though, the Albania international has caught the eye when he has featured for Everton this season, and there has been some debate over whether he should be signed permanently.

Everton fans agree Broja shouldn’t be signed permanently

Replying to the post below, Everton fans all agreed that the Friedkin’s should stay well clear of signing Broja on a permanent deal.

@EvertonViews commented: “Not for me, some are saying because he was injured for a big chunk give him another loan, not keen on that if I’m honest.”

“No not at the moment. A lot to prove and hasn’t played enough or proven he can stay fit to validate a big investment,” @Jason_Tooley said.

@chris83jones added: “Absolutely NOT! Unless he bangs in 10+ now until the end of season.”

@tomperry51 posted: “The forward line is Everton’s weakest link, we really can’t afford to get these positions wrong next season, Beto as simply not got the quality to lead the line, DCL doesn’t get enough goals, Broja gets injured to much, we just can’t afford to carry these players anymore.

“I’ve not seen enough to think we should take a risk on him. He came here injured, he got injured & when he’s been on the pitch he hasn’t offered anything exceptional. I get that he isn’t fit after long term injuries but we can’t risk that. Not even a loan for me. Rather keep DCL,” @phillyt1878 commented.

@CrawfordTartan said: “He has to earn the move, bang some goals in and make it look like that’s going to be consistent in the future. If Beto is winning a starting place ahead of him these next few weeks, then that will tell a story. Will be interesting to see if he can displace him.”

Broja could enjoy prolific end to season

Broja is yet to get off the mark for Everton, but speaking earlier this week, he revealed that he’s finally pain-free and is certain he can finish the season strongly.

“I feel much better now,” the 23-year-old said.

“I’m happy I can come back on the pitch and play pain-free. That’s all I wanted – to be pain-free, to enjoy my football, play in front of the fans and try to do the best for the team.

“I’m 100 per cent sure, there’s way more to come from me. There’s still the best to come from me. There’s so much more I can do.”

Broja has a £30m option to buy in his Toffees contract, so he has a lot to prove in the remaining seven games.
