Everton have today learnt of their fixtures for the upcoming 2024/25 season, and as always, there are some particular sore spots.
Naturally, as is the case with any campaign, tough runs are to be expected.
The Christmas and Easter periods are often famed for the pure bulk of matches that are expected to be played, but usually, there are a few easier games to offset such a busy few weeks.
However, for the Toffees, they will see no such respite, and Evertonians are rightly furious.
Everton fans left stunned by Premier League fixture list
Taking to X, in response to Everton’s official post confirming the fixture list, this was a fanbase left stunned at just how tough their December and April will be.
And whilst they often thrive when handed such overwhelming spells of adversity, showcased in the 2021/22 season where they beat Leicester City away and both Manchester United and Chelsea at home to secure their survival, this task will be hard to overcome.

Hopefully, Sean Dyche can ensure that such a last-gasp run of form is not needed to ensure their Premier League status, but it will be hard to keep morale high after these respective months.
Everton fans are all in agreement when combing over the fresh fixture list:
One supporter questioned: ‘Why do we always get the tougher games round the same periods every season?’
Another was simply left speechless: ‘Is December some sort of sick joke?’
Fortunately, there was one fan who remained positive despite the insurmountable task that awaits Everton: ‘December will scare fans…but those are the games we pick points up.’
Notable fixtures for Everton’s 2024/25 Premier League season
Naturally, when the fixture list is released, fans flock to a few key matches to jot them in their diary.
The Merseyside derby. Trips to Newcastle United. First and last matches of the season. And, for this campaign in particular, the final home game set to be played at Goodison Park.
Everton will kickstart their campaign at home to Brighton and Hove Albion, who will be hoping for a strong start to life under their new manager Fabian Hurzeler.

A trip to Tottenham Hotspur then awaits, before a favourable run sees their next real test on the road come in late November as they travel to Old Trafford.
This gives way to the nastiest December, where they will play Wolverhampton Wanderers are home, then the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park just four days later.
Everton then travel to Arsenal before welcoming Chelsea next, with a match at the Etihad to follow where they will pray they can pull off a miracle against Manchester City.
Their final game before 2025 will be a home match with Nottingham Forest.
Then, in April, they again face all those same teams in reverse.
Everton’s final home game at Goodison Park will be against Southampton on the 18th of May, before a trip to St James’ Park officially finishes off their season.
