Much of the focus has been away from Everton’s 2-0 win against Southampton.
All the attention was on Goodison Park and the incredible atmosphere that was created throughout the day yesterday.
So many former Everton players were in attendance, and it really did feel like a club united again, as David Moyes explained.
“I think more the feeling that there might be a club which is coming back together,” the Everton boss said.
“Signs that before there was a real break-up, of a sort of love affair with the supporters, the players, the club, the owners.
“So we’re all trying to get back. We’re obviously all looking forward to it. If we can take what we had today to the new stadium, it’ll be something.”
And, focusing back on the performance, Everton fans had a lot to say about Beto after his 75 minutes on the pitch.

Everton fans react to Beto’s performance vs Southampton
Everton supporters took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to heap praise on Beto’s performance against Southampton.
“How good was Beto today by the way, or was I caught up in the emotion. I feel like he played really well,” @MarkN1878 posted.
“He played very well. Maybe there is a player in there,” @Garytoffee9 commented.
@miserableblue84 added: “I said the same mate thought he looked a menace today.”
@rjaltmann1 said: “Thought the same. So good today. Absolutely determined and some quality too. How about that turn at midfield?”
“Didn’t score, but one of his best performance for us , a bit more of an all round CF performance. Against a weaker team, but still promising that they are coaching him to be better and he is improving for it,” @CrawfordTartan explained.
@_NateTweets said: “He plays well every game, holds the ball up well and brings other players into play whilst also being very direct. Deserved a goal, shame both was offside. Hoping we keep hold of him next season.”
“I think Beto has got massive improvement in him. His first touch and hold up play is already improving under Moyes. Couple of touches in the game today were fantastic,” @Sean_Lunt posted.
Everton should keep Beto this summer
Newly-promoted Leeds United are interested in signing Beto this summer transfer window, with a reported £100m budget to spend.
Daniel Farke and his recruitment chiefs have identified the Everton frontman to potentially lead the line at Elland Road next season.
However, Moyes has insisted that Beto is an important player in his squad and it appears as though he’d love to retain his signature.
His performances have improved dramatically under Moyes and it could be a huge mistake to sanction his sale whilst he’s in the ascendancy.
