Everton suffered their second defeat of the season yesterday after losing 2-1 to Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
Everton made a really poor start to the clash at Anfield as they conceded two goals in the first half an hour.
However, from the second goal onwards, David Moyes’ side actually looked like the better team, and he believes a point would’ve been a fair result.
“Look, I don’t think anybody would have probably turned and said, ‘hey, you didn’t deserve it’, if we got back into the game, but I think we just gave ourselves probably a little bit of a task too far by going two down,” Moyes admitted.

After Beto’s less-than-convincing first-half display, Moyes decided to put Barry on for the second half.
Everton fans were really encouraged by Barry and made the point that he should now be the first-choice number nine, having started just one Premier League game this season.
“If we’ve learnt one thing from today, it’s that Thierno Barry must be our starting CF going forward,” @spuddy1878 posted.

“Thierno Barry starts now going forward for me, and that’s not pinning all the blame on Beto, just think as a team we look better with Barry up there,” @Benjwinst commented.

Barry took to Instagram after the game with a short message about being patient.
The under-21 France international posted: “Time will prove us right! Now let’s focus on the next match.”
Everton are still in a good position as they reside in the top half of the table, with West Ham United at home their next Premier League fixture.

Interestingly, Sean Dyche could be in the West Ham dugout if he ends up replacing Graham Potter, which has been the talk.
Slaven Bilic and Nuno Espirito Santo have also been linked, so the Toffees may be in for a much more challenging game.
