Jordan Pickford has been a sensational signing for Everton and his quality is not lost on Kyle Walker.
Everton landed Jordan Pickford back in 2017, paying Sunderland £30 million.
Should Jordan Pickford now be considered one of the world’s best goalkeepers? 🤔
Gary Lineker is adamant he should 👀
Eyebrows were raised about the fee at the time.
But that’s hard to believe now, with Pickford having blossomed into an absolutely superb Premier League goalkeeper.
And he’s not just been brilliant for the Toffees, but his country as well – and Kyle Walker moved to praise the Three Lions number one.
Kyle Walker suggests Jordan Pickford is one of the best players he’s ever played with

Walker has just announced his retirement from international football.
And as part of his media work around this, Walker was asked for his five-a-side team of England players for a video on England’s official TikTok channel.
He chose in no particular order, Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane, John Stones, Harry Maguire.
Walker then toyed over a few players for his fifth pick, mentioning the likes of Raheem Sterling, Luke Shaw, Kieran Trippier and Pickford.
Of Pickford, he said ‘he’s been unbelievable in net’.
It is not the first time Walker has given Pickford his flowers.
He said of him last week on The Overlap: “But even Pickers like, you know he’s going to save two. You know he’s going to save one or two,” said Walker.

“So you score your penalties, you win the shootout. It’s not really going six, seven, eight, nine, ten, because we’ve got a very good goalkeeper in the net that’s very good at penalties.”
Walker also affectionately branded Pickford a ‘lunatic’ back in 2024.
Pickford on course to break Premier League appearance record for Everton in 2027
It has been yet another fine season for Pickford, who just seems to get better and better as he gets older.
And his quality and dedication to his craft will likely see him remain between the sticks for a good while longer – and he will surely break the appearance record for Everton players in the Premier League next year.
Most appearances for Everton in the Premier League
Seamus Coleman – 372
Tim Howard – 354
Leon Osman – 352
Leighton Baines – 348
Jordan Pickford – 323
Currently, he’s on 323, with only three players ahead of him.
Everton’s record appearance maker in the Premier League is Seamus Coleman, who has made 372.
So Pickford is 49 away from equalling his teammate, and should do so at some point in late 2027.
