Everton signed off the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park with a dramatic late equaliser.
Everton managed to salvage a late point against the fierce rivals Liverpool last month with James Tarkowski netting a stoppage-time leveller.
Tarkowksi’s 98th-minute strike will live long in the memories of supporters, who produced one of the loudest atmospheres in decades.
At the full-time whistle, Abdoulaye Doucoure sparked some controversy as he celebrated in front of the Liverpool end, which Curtis Jones took offence, too.
Doucoure was sent off as was Arne Slot after his complains to the referee and in his post-match interview, Virgil van Dijk caused quite the stir with his comments which have since come back to haunt him.

Everton fans laugh at Virgil van Dijk’s cup final comments
After the Merseyside derby last month, Van Dijk aimed a sly dig at Everton fans.
Now, Toffees supporters have had the last laugh, as they’ve all been poking fun at Liverpool’s cup final defeat to Newcastle United on the weekend.
“At least we won our cup final,” @SenseiCarl_ said.
@3andcaptain posted: “Newcastle there showing it’s very easy to hold onto a 2-1 lead in a cup final, should take some notes.”
“Can’t even turn up for your own, mate,” @IYKYH1878 added.
“Would be nice if he showed up in his today,” @slugtial replied.
@nocontextEFC said: “We didn’t lose ours.”
@LilUziCalvert_ commented: “What about your own cup final lil bro?”
Everton can have final say at Anfield
After the international break, Everton are in action against Liverpool at Anfield in what’s promised to be another chaotic affair.
The Toffees head into the game nine unbeaten and have picked up the fifth most points in the division since Moyes’ arrival in January.
So, they will have a genuine belief in getting another positive result, even if their record at Liverpool isn’t great.
Though, injuries have slowed down their attacking output.
