Everton have been linked with a move to sign Richarlison on several occasions since he left for Tottenham Hotspur in 2022.
Richarlison was mooted to return to Everton last summer, but Tottenham Hotspur decided to retain his signature.
Now, it’s being reported that Richarlison is expected to leave Spurs at the end of the season, so naturally, Everton have been thrown back into the mix as a potential destination.
It’s understood that Richarlison is open to a Merseyside return, so we decided to ask our TalkingPoints and Facebook users whether they’d be keen to sign the 28-year-old.

Most Everton fans would love Richarlison back
It’s become pretty apparent, after hearing from Everton fans, that most of them would love David Moyes to re-sign Richarlison this summer transfer window.
- “Yes please. In a heartbeat. He is one of very few players who can create a goal from nothing, which is what we need. He did it regularly with us, with very little service. Sound familiar? He’s the man for the job.”
- “We should have brought him back in January, an experienced Premier League striker who actually would want to play for Everton and who scores plenty, no brainer.”
- “No not for me, whilst I do like him, he was never a prolific goal scorer.”
- “Pay as you play like Rooney did when he came back to Everton.”
- “He’s the exact type of player who can fit in David’s style of play.”
- “He is the exact style of player we need and we know his passion for the club, so 100% yes.”
The 54-cap Brazil international is out of contract next year, so there is a good opportunity for Everton to land his signature for a discounted price.
Quite remarkably, Tottenham are staring down the barrel of a potential relegation, so if that does happen, it’d also strengthen the Toffees’ negotiating position.
Richarlison wants to play at the Hill Dickinson Stadium
Despite how poor Spurs have been, Richarlison has still managed to come up with a decent return, registering 12 goal involvements in 21 starts.
| Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premier League | 24 | 8 | 3 |
| UEFA Champions League | 6 | 1 | – |
| EFL Cup | 2 | – | – |
| UEFA Super Cup | 1 | – | – |
| FA Cup | 1 | – | – |
He is actually their top scorer by quite some distance in the league, so Everton would be signing a striker in form.
