Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of former Everton manager Sean Dyche.
After sacking Ange Postecoglou, Nottingham Forest have moved quickly to appoint Sean Dyche, who has been out of work since leaving Everton in January.
Dyche was linked with the Rangers job but decided to withdraw from the running, with Forest clearly his first-choice.
His appointment has split supporters around the City Ground, and that’s partly to do with what some Everton fans have been saying on social media.

Everton fans have flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to warn Nottingham Forest about Dyche’s flaws as a manager.
@Lea_EFC posted: “Genuinely feel sorry for every Forest fan on earth.”
@BigHafffEFC1878 explained: “The worst football I’ve seen my team play, besides Rafa, he’s going down as the worst manager to ever manage Everton. Stubborn beyond belief, always thinks he’s right, football is abysmal, press conferences got worse and worse over time, just very happy he’s signed for Forest.”
“Dyche obviously worked under extremely difficult circumstances at Everton but feel sorry for Forest fans if this happens,” @PaulDerbyshire1 added.
@NeilH60efc explained: “Dyche’s downfall at Everton started with his lack of connection with the fans – arrogant (without justification) and aloof. That and crap football means he is already thankfully forgotten.”
Sean Dyche will have his best squad yet
It’ll be fascinating to see how Dyche gets on with a squad that is actually the 13th most valuable in the world, according to Transfermarkt.
Forest shelled out in excess of £200m on transfers in the summer, bringing the likes of Douglas Luiz, James McAtee and Dilane Bakwa in.
So the former Toffees boss has a really strong squad at his disposal and the expectations are pretty high, with Europa League football to play.
Will he still play a pragmatic style? That’s the question. Throughout his spells at Everton and Burnley, there was always an underlying notion that he couldn’t play any other way due to the quality.
