Seamus Coleman’s 17-year stint at Everton could be coming to an end this summer.
Coleman’s Everton contract is set to expire in the coming months, with no indication over a potential extension on Merseyside.
It must be considered that Coleman has only played 12 minutes of Premier League football this season for the Blues.
What should be next for Seamus Coleman after his current Everton contract? 🤔
Can he really still provide an impact on the pitch… 😬
David Moyes’ affection for the Irish hero cannot be disguised, but Everton supporters have made their feelings on his future known over on TalkingPoints and our Facebook page.

Everton supporters want Seamus Coleman to become a coach
Coleman has already hailed Everton’s leadership group, which consists of James Tarkowski, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Jordan Pickford, amid his absence on the pitch.
Having failed to make an impact on the field, a lot of Everton fans are hoping to see Coleman become a coach at Finch Farm.
Who should Everton be keeping and letting go this summer? 🫣
One fan replied: “Keep the lot put Coleman in a coach role.” Whilst another Evertonian said: “Sign Grealish, Keane and Gueye. Coleman in a coaching role.”
Coleman has already earned his coaching badges over recent years as he considers what could be next in his career.
Another fan added: “Keep all apart from Coleman. Non-playing staff contract though due to his influence on the team.” The same sentiment was shared by another fan: “All of them Coleman as joint coaching staff with Leighton Baines.”
James Garner has hailed Leighton Baines’ coaching addition following his promotion on the back of Moyes’ appointment last January.
Although there is an acceptance his best days are behind him, one fan thinks a player/coach role could be an option: “I think Seamus needs replacing but kept in the squad. Player/coach maybe?”
Baines has set the example back at Finch Farm, with another fan wanting Coleman to follow his path: “All of them – Coleman with Baines coaching.”
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall expects Coleman to become a manager in the future and perhaps his journey starts with a role on Merseyside this summer.
