Everton picked up their seventh away win of the season against Newcastle United yesterday.
The Toffees won 3-2 at St James’ Park to move onto the 40-point mark with 10 games of the season to go.
David Moyes was pleased that both Beto and Thierno Barry scored, as the Everton duo have struggled this term.
There were a few contenders for the Man of the Match award, with Jordan Pickford earning rave reviews.
But, Everton fans who cast their votes on TalkingPoints actually selected Toffees playmaker Iliman Ndiaye.
Who was your Man of the Match from that incredible game? 🤩
Not sure how you're going to only pick one…
Iliman Ndiaye’s sensational numbers vs Newcastle
Ndiaye earned the majority of the votes on the Man of the Match poll, with 42% picking the Senegal international.
- 42.27% – Ndiaye
- 28.87% – Other
- 18.56% – Branthwaite
- 10.31% – Beto
It’s easy to see why when you take a look at his Sofascore statistics, as he conducted his defensive duties just as well as his attacking.

The 25-year-old was a constant livewire going forward, but was also so crucial in protecting his flank on the left-hand side.
With that said, it’s hardly surprising that Ndiaye is attracting interest from Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
Thankfully, it’s being reported that Dan Friedkin will personally block Ndiaye from departing Finch Farm.
The former Sheffield United and Marseille attacker is under contract until 2029, so there’s no pressure to sanction his sale.
Everton could offer Ndiaye a new deal to protect their most prized asset even further, and he has already indicated that he would put pen to paper.
Ndiaye is happy on Merseyside and is eager to bring silverware to the club.
