Everton left-back Adam Aznou clearly isn’t happy with his current situation on Merseyside.
Despite joining with a big reputation from Bayern Munich last summer, Adam Aznou hasn’t played a single minute of Premier League football this term.
Aznou has only made one senior appearance for the Toffees, coming off the bench against Sunderland in the FA Cup earlier this year.
Which of these players do you want to see Everton SIGN in 2026?
The following names have been suggested by fans on TalkingPoints…
Aznou has now deleted all of his Everton pictures on social media – which in the modern era of transfers – could indicate he’s pushing to leave the club.
With that said, our Facebook users have given their thoughts on the recent developments surrounding the 19-year-old.
Everton fans don’t blame Adam Aznou for showing frustration at current situation
Supporters have been reacting to Aznou’s decision to remove his Everton posts on social media, and many of them completely understand his frustration.
In fact, they’re completely baffled by David Moyes’ treatment of the former Barcelona youngster,
- “Don’t blame him! Moyes won’t use him…????”
- “If he was playing second fiddle to a prime Baines, I’d say he has to bide his time. Being kept out the team by Mykolenko, I can see why he’s p—– off.”
- “The lad needs to play. He came on as a sub for the last 10 minutes when we played Sunderland, looked very promising and made a big difference when he came on.”
- “I was excited to see him in action when we bought him….needs to be played as does Dibling and George…get them out on the pitch Moyesy..we are not going down so give them the minutes.”
- “It’s an issue. The problem is our manager likes experience over youth. There’s a disconnect… the club want to buy young players to develop, but they obviously need games to do that which the manager is reluctant to do.”
- “Well I don’t blame him! Who would be happy he hasn’t had a chance? Old school Moyes won’t change, he’s outdated on many things. Why the hell do we buy players and never play them… Dibling, Aznou, Merlin, George… it’s pathetic.”
After Aznou’s impressive cameo against Sunderland in January, Moyes explained that he needs to improve physically.
“He’s got bits about him which are ready, just physically to be a left-back in the Premier League is where we’re seeing him need to develop.”
The Scotsman’s theory falls down when you consider the fact that Everton are now showing an interest in Myles Lewis-Skelly.
The Arsenal teenager is still developing his physical frame, and yet he has been one of the best left-backs in the division over the last year or so.
Lewis Hall is another prime example, as he’s not the most physically imposing full-back and yet he’s performing at the elite level with Newcastle United.
It seems Aznou may have to leave on a loan deal in the summer to show Moyes his capabilities elsewhere.
