Everton have not been afraid to let their transfer interest become public this window, safe in the knowledge that they were strong favourites to get their men.

And so, Iliman Ndiaye, Jake O’Brien, Jesper Lindstrom and Tim Iroegbunam have all traded their respective sides for the Toffees, with more potentially set to come before the summer concludes.

Orel Mangala has already completed his Everton medical, which highlights one new deal just around the corner, and Everton also want to sign Ernest Nuamah before deadline day.

However, this latest report actually details another winger who the Toffees are trying to sign, and are set to battle a Premier League rival for his signature.

Everton once again show interest in West Brom’s Tom Fellows

This fresh transfer target has been touted by TEAMtalk, who suggest that Everton are prepared to once again wade into the Championship to try and snag some untapped talent.

Their efforts to sign Jaden Philogene earlier in the window outlined their eagerness to dip into this market, which often boasts limitless potential, whilst tenuous links to former Watford magician Yaser Asprilla only reinforced that notion.

However, it is West Bromwich Albion who will have to be on high alert now, with Tom Fellows the latest subject of their affection.

The report reads: ‘West Brom winger Tom Fellows is attracting interest from the Premier League and TEAMtalk can reveal that Southampton have had a bid rejected for him.

‘We understand the Saints have seen an offer of £10m knocked back by West Brom as Russell Martin looks to reinforce his side’s attacking options.

‘West Brom are primed for more offers for the youngster, however. TEAMtalk can reveal that Everton are also keeping tabs on him as they look to bring in a new winger.’

Everton tried to sign Tom Fellows earlier this year, so their interest is longstanding. That could tempt the 21-year-old to prefer them to Southampton.

How good is Everton target Tom Fellows?

A product of the Baggies’ academy, Fellows made his debut for the club back in 2021 as a promising teenager with plenty of buzz around him.

However, dipping in and out of the senior squad saw his growth stunted, before he finally earned his big break, and a solid run in the first-team, this very year.

He scored his first career goal in the FA Cup, and later notched his first league goal just six days later.

A traditional winger who likes to hug his touchline, hit the byline and whip in a devastating crosses, back during their initial interest, Everton.News spoke to football writer and West Brom expert Kieran Doody, who explained exactly why the youngster would be a fine fit for Sean Dyche.

Fellows earned praise for his directness, as he claimed: ‘His style has drawn muted comparisons to Kevin Kilbane, who Evertonians will know well, given his direct style and eagerness to deliver the ball early into dangerous positions, albeit on the right wing rather than left!

‘He’s very direct, he receives the ball deep and his first thought is to drive forward in possession as much as possible. He’s very much a traditional winger who attacks the full-back and delivers balls into the box averaging nearly 7 crosses per game.’
