Everton’s move into the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium offers a glimmer of hope in what has been an otherwise wretched campaign.

Sean Dyche has worked admirably to lead a side devoid of confidence and quality towards their current position of safety, navigating deduction turmoil and takeover uncertainty.

And yet, were it not for this new home, there would be little to look forward to as an Evertonian.

But as it is there, the future has never looked brighter.

This latest update details a big brand-new addition set to enhance the fan experience further.

Latest Everton update on Bramley-Moore Docks stadium

Writing on Everton’s official website, their latest update on the new stadium actually detailed a change made to the area surrounding it.

After all, an arena like this is far more than just the core construction itself, with fans wanting the full experience pre and post-match.

Fan plazas, Everton Way and many bars are already under construction too, and this latest feature will allow greater access to the huge traffic they are set to command.

The update states: ‘The first steel pedestrian gate has been fully integrated into its historic surroundings at Everton Stadium. Restoration work has been ongoing to rebuild the Grade II Listed wall around the galvanised steel gate, which was lifted into one of three new pedestrian access points on the eastern boundary of the site last November.

‘Three main pedestrian access points on Regent Road, all manufactured less than half a mile from the stadium site by Warbreck Engineering, are to be installed in total. These will be central to the flow of all visitors to the stadium, as all entry will be via the eastern side of the site.’

How far is Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium from Goodison Park?

Well, to put it into perspective, you can still on occasion and in very specific locations actually see the new home of Everton from their current one, Goodison Park.

In actuality, the official distance between the two sites is a mere two miles, meaning many fans can still frequent their old haunts around Goodison, from the Royal Oak to the Brick, and still probably wander over in time for the match,

Some stunning photography has actually pictured the two within the same photo, exhibiting both the past and present of the Toffees, and its near future.

They are due to move into the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium for the start of the 2025/26 season, although construction is due to conclude by the end of this calendar year.

The close proximity between the grounds means hopefully the club will not lose the spirit which has made it so adored by the fanbase, and hopefully it can offer a refresh for a club desperately stuck in an unrelenting cycle of misery at the moment.
