With just days until the transfer window ends on 2nd February, Everton are weaker on the flanks compared to the start of January.

David Moyes has lost Jack Grealish to a broken foot for three months – and potentially for the remainder of the season depending on how the Manchester City loanee recovers.

With Tyler Dibling also struggling to shine out wide, Everton have now approached Inter Milan to enquire about Luis Henrique – according to Fabrizio Biasin.

What should be Everton’s top priority before the deadline on Monday? 😬

Everton open Luis Henrique talks with Inter Milan

The Italian journalist has now taken to X (previously known as Twitter) to reveal that Everton have asked about the Brazilian winger – who also has interest from Aston Villa and Bournemouth.

Biasin states that Bournemouth have even made a €30m (£26m) offer after losing Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City.

Even if Everton opt to match that bid, Biasin adds that Inter Milan will only agree to sell Henrique – who they signed from Marseille for €25m (£22m) back in June – if they are able to sign a replacement first.

The South American – aged 24 – has struggled since swapping Ligue 1 for Serie A, with just one assist to show for his efforts in 23 appearances across all competitions.

Nevertheless, Henrique remains an admired figure at the San Siro, with teammate Matteo Darmian – formerly of Manchester United – calling him a “top player” when speaking to reporters (via Sempre Inter).

Luis Henrique interest suggests David Moyes plans to use 3-4-2-1 formation more often

In the second half of the 1-1 draw against Leeds, Moyes switched his formation to a 3-4-2-1 shape involving wing-backs.

It was a smart move from the Glaswegian, as Everton managed to equalise and also hit the crossbar after a strike from Idrissa Gueye, and the interest in Henrique suggests this shape may well stick around.

Should David Moyes play with a back three and wing-backs more regularly for Everton?

Here's an XI the manager could go with after the switch-up vs Leeds… 🤔

The Inter Milan No.11 has featured exclusively as a wing-back this season in the 3-5-2 formation used by Cristian Chivu, so he would be comfortable playing in that role if Moyes intends to keep using it.
