Everton finally seemed to be building towards forging the ideal foundation for stability this season, before they were rocked by a landmark ruling.

Having endured back-to-back relegation dogfights, surviving by the skin of their teeth on two occasions, this year finally felt like the one where fans would be treated to a comfortable campaign without the persisting fear of dropping into the Championship.

Given they had risen to 14th in the Premier League, establishing an eight-point gap between themselves and the relegation zone, that was not a crazy thought.

However, a ten-point deduction has proven catastrophic, with Sean Dyche once again thrown into the fire and expected to come out unburnt.

Well, with their fine form maintained, he might just be set to perform another miracle.

Should they survive once again, it marks an exciting platform for them to enter into Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, buoyed by their empowered reaction to such injustice.

Especially given how it continues to fly up, with the Liverpool ECHO offering the latest update on a key feature.

Speaking to Emily Watson, Assistant Section Manager at Laing O’Rourke, she noted: ‘We’ve have had to undertake a lot of remedial repairs and original make-safe works to get the building into a safe spot. There has been some major re-pointing work, some new roofing elements installed and some structural work to make the building safe for the next stage.’

She then went on to praise the historic Hydraulic Tower, which is currently under restoration: ‘When we first came, the air-raid siren had to be taken off, so we could replicate the original bracket on which it hung. We’ve now refitted it onto the building and it has had a special coating, so it can remain there”

‘We now have the last ongoing works with the glazing, the louvres and the doors, and we’ve started to layer the roof, then there will just a few final touches, such as flashing and give it one last clean over before it can be handed over.’

What is the capacity of Bramley-Moore Dock stadium?

What is most exciting about their shiny new waterfront arena is the additional opportunities it will offer Everton fans to see their team live.

After all, it would not make sense to move stadiums, especially leaving one as historic as Goodison Park, if it were not for a vast upgrade.

However, seeing it shoot up on the River Mersey it proving that it will certainly be an innovative build, and likely one of the most revered in the country.

With sprawling brickwork creeping up the side, and glass panels having been installed by the roof, it truly is taking shape.

Not only that, but blue seats have begun to creep inside the bowl, of which there will be 52,888 upon completion.

The Bramley-Moore Dock stadium will also have the option to add 10,000 additional seats in the future, should they be required.
