Everton are expected to sign a centre-back this summer transfer window.
Clearly, David Moyes is looking to bring in a left-footed defender who can provide cover for Jarrad Branthwaite.
Burnley’s Maxime Esteve has been linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and so too has Manchester City’s Nathan Ake.
Would you like to see Everton sign Nathan Ake this summer? 🔥
Moyes would love his versatility in defence! 👏
Ake has been on Everton’s radar since last summer, and now a fresh report has just stated how much he would cost.

Everton informed of Nathan Ake’s price tag
According to TEAMtalk, it’s understood that Man City are demanding around £20m to sanction Ake’s sale this summer.
The Friedkin Group are exploring a deal to sign Ake for either Everton or AS Roma, so clearly the American investors are leading the talks.
Although, there is stiff competition for Ake’s signature, as Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Coventry City are also circling.
If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰
The Cherries are expected to be an attractive destination for the Dutchman, as he spent four years at the South Coast club between 2016 and 2020.
Everton are much more local to his current Manchester home, though, so perhaps that could be a key factor in his decision.
Having said that, Moyes will certainly have to guarantee regular game time to strike a deal, and given his track record with new signings, that seems unlikely.
The Scotsman seems very settled with Branthwaite and James Tarkowski as his centre-back pairing, unless he plans to use Ake as a left-back.
The 31-year-old has played that role throughout his career and would be an upgrade on Vitalii Mykolenko.
