Everton ‘lead’ talks to land £30m striker this summer, but Leeds United want to cause an upset

Everton’s 2024/25 campaign is just three games away from being complete.

The summer transfer window is going to be a huge opportunity for the Friedkins to finally put their stamp on this Everton squad.

A new forward is the priority for Everton with goals being a real struggle for the Toffees throughout the season.

Beto has shown some positives signs under David Moyes at times this season, but the striker has failed to show any real consistency over the last two months.

The Friedkins are ready to hand Everton a healthy transfer budget and it will be needed with a number of players potentially set to leave at the end of their deals.

With the window now just a matter of weeks away from opening, Everton are already believed to be leading the race to sign one specific attacker.

Everton leading the race to sign Richarlison

Ahead of the window, Everton have identified Richarlison as a key target with the Brazilian set to leave Tottenham Hotspur.

It has been a rocky few years in north London for the Brazilian and a return back to Merseyside is on the cards.

According to The Boy Hotspur, Everton are indeed leading the race to sign the 27-year-old this summer.

A deal for the Brazilian could see Everton land Richarlison for as little as £30m this summer.

However, there are a number of other clubs who would be keen to beat the Toffees to the forward’s signature, including:

The Friedkins want to make a statement signing for Everton this summer for the opening for their new stadium.

And Richarlison is viewed as someone who would be warmly welcomed back by the fans at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Richarlison sparks Everton return speculation

Richarlison is keen to remain in the Premier League if he is to leave Tottenham, with the World Cup coming up next year.

And the Brazilian has certainly not hid his links back to Everton amid the speculation.

Over the weekend, Richarlison shared some Everton posts on his social media accounts of The 1878’s banner to be displayed at Goodison Park.

The striker has a great relationship with those on Merseyside which could well help facilitate a move.

However, there are a lot of other clubs who would be happy to land the 27-year-old, as well.
