Everton need reinforcement this summer – and Jarrod Bowen has been linked with a move to Hill Dickinson Stadium following West Ham United’s relegation.
The Toffees are looking to go again in 2026/27, where the expectations will be much greater.
It was a hugely disappointing end to the season just gone, and fans will not accept another season like it.
So to avoid that, Everton need additions in several positions – and certainly, more quality is required in the final third.
If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰
Jarrod Bowen is a player who will now be written about a fair bit.
He’s West Ham’s best player, and there is surely no way he stays to play Championship football, despite suggestions to the contrary.
There will likely be a lot of competition, and Everton have now learned of another rival in the hunt for Bowen – and also the kind offers that could be made.
Chelsea join Everton in Jarrod Bowen hunt as potential new price tag emerges
Bowen had been one of the best wingers in the Premier League for a few years before West Ham’s relegation last weekend.
Without a doubt, he could start for most of the teams in the top-flight.
He’s a proven goalscorer, and also makes assists regularly – so a lot of clubs would be delighted to snap him up.

As per The Independent, Everton are not the only club interested in Bowen, with Chelsea now said to be keen.
This is potentially a problem, with previous reports indicating that Bowen loves life in London and is very settled in the capital.
The Blues would likely have no issues paying slightly over the odds to make sure they get their man.
But what does slightly over the odds mean?
The Independent say that industry figures believe competing clubs will try and do a deal for Bowen for around £40 million.
This is actually about £10 million less than what West Ham would ideally want for the player.
But given Bowen is on a big contract and factoring in the revenue they will lose from dropping out of the Premier League, West Ham may have to take a slight hit on Bowen.
It now remains to be seen if Everton will actually table a bid for Bowen.
Are there any players from the relegated clubs you want to see Everton go after this summer? 🤔
Wolves, Burnley and West Ham have all lost their Premier League status…
The club were happy to put £40 million on the table last summer when they were signing Tyler Dibling from Southampton.
That move obviously hasn’t worked out yet so there could be a reluctance to do something similar this time around.
But Bowen is obviously a proven performer in the Premier League and would likely address a few big problems Everton currently have, the main one being lacking attacking threat.
