Everton sent 18-year-old midfielder Harrison Armstrong on loan to Derby County in the January transfer window.
David Moyes was reluctant to sanction Harrison Armstrong’s loan, as he felt he could make an immediate impact at Everton.
But the decision was made to allow him to join the Championship outfit as it would be better for his development.
Derby are in a relegation battle and have already had a manager sacked since Harrison Armstrong arrived, so it’s certainly set to provide him with invaluable experience.
Armstrong has flourished at Derby so far and his midfield presence has been vital in the remarkable turnaround in form.
The Rams are now a point clear of the drop zone after picking up their fourth win on the trot against Preston North End last night.
And, Derby fans had a lot to say about Armstrong’s performance in particular.

Derby fans stunned by how good Everton loanee Harrison Armstrong is
Derby just can’t stop winning at the moment and Armstrong has played a key role in their great escape from relegation.
The teenage wonderkid played the full 90 minutes last night and Rams supporters were full of praise for his performance.
“Harrison Armstrong winning all of his duels he’s going to the very top that lad,” @dcfcfizzy said.
@RichNHolmes posted: “Harrison Armstrong. Big fan of his. Terrific young midfield player.”
@_beckyy17 commented: “Harrison Armstrong, sign the contract.”
“Harrison Armstrong is such a good footballer,” @charlie77520384 added.
@DCFCMiguel13 said: “Harrison Armstrong looks about a foot taller and twice the strength since his first game.”
“Nat Phillips and Harrison Armstrong were outstanding tonight. UTR,” @doyler799 posted.
Asmir Begovic says Armstrong is a ‘special player’
Clearly, Armstrong is making quite the impression at Pride Park and he’s already left his mark on his Everton teammates, too.
Speaking earlier this week, Toffees shot-stopper Asmir Begovic labelled him a ‘special player’.
“Really talented youngster here at Everton, he’s on loan at Derby,” Begovic explained. “He’s going to be a special player, so I think one to watch over the next few years.”
At the current rate Armstrong is developing, it’s almost inevitable that he’ll be a key starter for Moyes next season, especially with Idrissa Gana Gueye and Orel Mangala both set to leave the club.
