Big changes are on the horizon at Everton – and it remains to be seen how much longer Sean Dyche will be the manager.
The Friedkin Group have backed Dyche following their takeover of the club.
Certainly, to change managers now – given the club’s current position in the Premier League table – would be a real risk.
So it’s understandable TFG may not want to rock the boat having just acquired the club.
But Everton are really struggling, having won just three Premier League games so far this season.
The lack of a cutting edge in the final third is a major worry, and had it not been for Jordan Pickford, the Toffees could easily be in the relegation zone now.
Speculation will continue over the future of Dyche, but one man TFG seemingly won’t be persuading to come in is Sergio Conceicao.
Sergio Conceicao now set to join AC Milan after Everton links

It was reported recently that Sergio Conceicao was a manager of interest to Everton.
Conceicao has been unattached since leaving FC Porto in the summer, and has been touted for several jobs since.
It was suggested that Concecaio was actually leaning towards West Ham United, amid pressure on Julen Lopetegui.
Conceicao is now on the verge of a return to management, but his next gig will not be in the Premier League.
He’s actually set to take over at AC Milan.
Fabrizio Romano reports: “Sérgio Conceição has accepted AC Milan job as new head coach to replace Paulo Fonseca. Contract details being sealed, potentially valid until June 2026. Conceição and his agent Jorge Mendes, waiting for formal steps from club side as AC Milan are due to inform Fonseca.”
In a separate post, Romano added: “Official announcement in the upcoming hours for Paulo Fonseca fired and Sérgio Conceição as new AC Milan head coach. It’s all signed.”
“Conceição didn’t accept three proposals from Europe/South America in last 3 weeks as he knew AC Milan were strongly considering him.”
Conceicao would have been risky appointment
So Conceicao looks all set to become the new AC Milan manager, meaning he won’t replace Dyche.
Seemingly, it was never really a possibility that he would come to Goodison Park, although who knows if Everton were among those three proposals the Portuguese reportedly turned down.
It would have been a risky appointment anyway for Everton.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 16 | 18 | 3 | 8 | 7 | 15 | 24 | -9 | 17 |
Conceicao has never managed in England before, and has never been part of a relegation battle.
Certainly, Dyche has been in plenty of relegation battles before, and The Friedkin Group will probably feel he’s the right man to get enough points on the board.
