Everton’s interest in the left-winger may indicate their plans for Jack Grealish.

Everton may not be planning to sign Jack Grealish permanently

Everton would probably have to fork out in excess of £35m if they were to sign Summerville this summer, as West Ham would want a return on the £25m they paid for him.

That would suggest the Toffees are drawing up a potential transfer plan that doesn’t involve the permanent signing of Grealish.

It’d be unrealistic for the Friedkin Group to sign both of the aforementioned wingers, so it’ll likely be one or the other.

Plus, Summerville would only join if he were to be the first-choice left winger, as he has interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Brentford, according to the report.

What should Everton be willing to pay to bring back Grealish over the summer? 💰

Interestingly, the Toffees have also been looking at Othmane Maamma, who is another exciting wide player.

The Championship star has been scouted by Moyes’ recruitment team in recent weeks after impressing for Watford.

Perhaps the finances attached to the Grealish deal are forcing Everton to consider other options, as they would have to pay a substantial transfer fee plus his wages.

According to Capology, the 39-cap England international earns around £300,000 a week at Manchester City.
