Everton look likely to do some shopping in the Championship this summer.
The Toffees have already been linked to several players in the second tier, with Everton admirers of Abdul Fatawu – while Championship Player of the Season Hayden Hackney is also a target for The Friedkin Group.
Now – according to Sportsboom – another Middlesbrough player is on the radar for Everton in David Strelec.

There's going to be some different opinions on this! 🫣
Everton could sign David Strelec
It is said that Everton could move to sign the Slovakia international if Boro end up missing out on promotion.
Middlesbrough have already secured a spot in the play-offs, but still have a chance to seal automatic promotion to the Premier League depending on what happens this Saturday.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 1 | 45 | 27 | 11 | 7 | 93 | 45 | 48 | 92 | |

Sportsboom believe Nottingham Forest are also interested in Strelec, who has scored seven goals in 31 Championship appearances this season following a £6.5m move from Slovan Bratislava back in September.
Brighton and Brentford could also make a move for the 25-year-old, who was called the “total package” by Slovakian football expert Lukas Vrablik back in September when speaking to the BBC.
He said: “He’s the total package. He’s a technical player with some clever movement and very good in combinations on counter-attacks.”
Everton are expected to sign at least one new striker this summer, as Thierno Barry struggles and Beto approaches the final 12 months of his contract.
Chelsea No.9 Liam Delap is also a target for Everton this summer, and having already spoken to David Moyes last year before moving to west London, we would presume the Englishman is preferred to Strelec.
Romelu Lukaku and Richarlison have been linked too, as both face uncertain summers at Napoli and Tottenham respectively.
Who would you rather see Everton sign this summer? 🤩
Therefore, Everton have several options to pursue, and certainly don’t seem to be putting all of their eggs into one basket in the hunt for a new striker.
