Everton missed out on signing Carlos Forbs last year, and the winger has now dazzled against Barcelona in the Champions League.
The Toffees brought in two wingers this past summer, as Jack Grealish and Tyler Dibling arrived.
Grealish has been a fine signing, but Dibling is struggling for first-team action under David Moyes.
One year earlier, Everton landed Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom on loan, but also missed out on another late addition out wide.

Carlos Forbs destroys Barcelona after Everton interest
Reports from De Telegraaf suggested that Everton were a ‘concrete’ destination for winger Carlos Forbs on deadline day in August 2024.
Ajax were happy to let Forbs go, and Everton wanted to bring him to Goodison Park in the final hours of the window.
Wolves won the race to sign Forbs on loan, but the former Manchester City talent made next to no impact in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old was on the move again this past summer, as Ajax sold Forbs to Belgian side Club Brugge.
Forbs has been in great form to start the season, and he terrorised Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Playing on the right wing, Forbs caused absolute mayhem with his pace and raced clear of the Barca defence to set up Nicolo Tresoldi’s opener.
Forbs was at it again as his blazing speed allowed him to go clean through on goal and slot Club Brugge into a 2-1 lead.
Forbs missed a golden chance to make it 3-2, but did score again as he dinked the ball past Wojciech Szczesny.
Barcelona managed to snatch a 3-3 draw, but they were given the runaround by Forbs and his irresistible pace.
Everton may still keep tabs on Carlos Forbs
The flanks are arguably Everton’s strongest areas now.
Grealish is playing well down the left side, and Iliman Ndiaye has been the star of the show on the right.
Another winger may still be on the radar for next summer, though, even after signing Dibling.
Grealish is only on loan, and Everton need to have alternatives in mind, while Dwight McNeil will surely be on the move.
Whether Forbs is still on the radar is unclear, but his sensational display against Barcelona may just leave Everton to take another look in his direction.
