Everton have now been informed of the conditions for any potential contract for Moussa Dembele ahead of the summer transfer window.

The ‘powerful’ forward is a free agent this summer after finishing a five year contract with French club Lyon, and Everton are one of a number of clubs reportedly interested in the 26-year-old.

Indeed, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Blues could face competition from Turkish giants Galatasaray as well as some unnamed clubs from Saudi Arabia.

Romano tweeted: “Moussa Dembele has been approached by several clubs after leaving OL as a free agent.

Understand Everton and Galatasaray are both informed on conditions of the deal, while Saudi clubs are also keeping tabs on Moussa situation.”

Dembele could be the answer for Everton, but convincing him to join is half the job

Moussa Dembele has been linked with a move to Goodison Park since January, and Everton could now finally swoop for the forward this summer.

Recruiting such a player on a free transfer would be a terrific piece of business for Sean Dyche’s side, should the Everton boss convince the Frenchman to join the Blues.

Indeed, the Toffees have struggled for goals, scoring just 34 in the Premier League last season, with £15m Neal Maupay unable to fill in for the oft-injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

With 56 league goals in 129 games during his time in France, Dembele has shown he can be prolific, though the forward did have a poor season last year, managing just three strikes in 23 outings.

However, the forward netted an impressive 21 goals in 30 league games during the 2021/22 campaign, indicating that last season was perhaps merely a blip in form.

With pace, power and an eye for goal, Moussa Dembele could be the exact type of forward the Blues have been missing of late, and recruiting such a player on a free would allow Sean Dyche to spend more freely in other areas of the squad.
