Everton could bring some Brazilian flair to Merseyside this summer.

Having already been linked with a romantic return for Richarlison – amid doubts over his future at Tottenham – Turkish journalist Ali Naci Kucuk now claims that Everton want to sign another Brazilian in Gabriel Sara from Galatasaray.

Interestingly, Kucuk expects the South American to be on the move.

Everton told Gabriel Sara could be set for the Premier League

Everton were linked to Sara back in May 2025 as well, so the former Norwich City star certainly seems to be admired by The Friedkin Group.

Speaking on YouTube for 343 Digital, Kucuk said: “I think Gabriel Sara could be transferring. Aston Villa, Everton, and Tottenham from the Premier League have clear interest in the player. If Gabriel Sara also makes the World Cup squad, the club would profit from this too.”

Galatasaray paid £15.3m to sign the attacking midfielder from Norwich City back in August 2025 – he has scored eight goals and provided 15 assists in 87 appearances ever since.

Sara – who has been described as having ‘a rocket of a left foot’ by analysts Breaking The Lines – was named in the 2023/24 Championship Team of the Season before his move to Turkey, having netted 13 goals and assisted a further 12 in 46 appearances that term.

When you consider the likes of Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise, Adam Wharton, Jarrod Bowen, Jude Bellingham and others emerged from the Championship too in recent times, there is potential for the Brazilian to become a star in the Premier League.

Interest in Sara – aged 26 – also casts further doubt over the future of Idrissa Gueye.

The Senegal international turns 37 in September and sees his contract expire at the end of this season, so talk of Everton wanting to sign another midfielder suggests the Toffees might be ready to move on.
