Everton have confirmed the signing of Arnaut Danjuma.
Arnaut Danjuma has joined Everton on a season-long loan deal from Villarreal, as confirmed by the club’s official website. He has previously featured in the Premier League for Bournemouth, and had a loan stint with Tottenham Hotspur last season.
It has also been confirmed that he will wear the iconic No. 10 shirt at Goodison Park for the duration of the upcoming campaign. The jersey has previously been donned by the likes of Wayne Rooney, Mikel Arteta, and Romelu Lukaku.
Everton previously tried to sign the Dutchman in January, but they have now finally got their man. Speaking as an Everton player for the first time, Danjuma said, “I had interest from other clubs but there was a pull towards Everton because of the fans, the manager and the history of the Club…I know I did not move to the Club in January, that was because there was some uncertainty over the manager situation at that time…I am very eager to perform and very determined to contribute to the entire club. There’s no vein in my body that doubts my quality, and I’m very determined to now show that for the Evertonians.”

Danjuma has a point to prove
Everton fans will certainly hope Danjuma proves to have been worth the wait. The 26-year-old also has a point to prove in the Premier League, having failed to shine during his limited opportunities with Spurs last season. He has, though, shown really quality during his time with Villarreal and La Liga.
Sean Dyche will be hoping that, if he can hit his best form on Merseyside, Danjuma can play a key role in firing Everton clear of any relegation trouble.
