Wolves sit 20th in the Premier League table, but they picked up their first win with an emphatic 3-0 victory over West Ham last time out.
If you could ask David Moyes one thing following the Brentford defeat, what would it be? 🤔
Everton will be favourites for the upcoming clash, but Wolves have already beaten the Toffees in the Carabao Cup this season.
James Tarkowski, in particular, will want to forget all about that game.

James Tarkowski had a dismal display against Wolves
While Tarkowski starred against Nottingham Forest in Everton’s latest win, his performance in the 4-2 defeat to Brentford was uninspiring.
Everton fans were fuming at Moyes for shuffling his defence for the Brentford game, with Jake O’Brien pushed out to right-back to accommodate for Tarkowski and Keane.
But Moyes may want to rethink his defensive selection against Wolves after Tarkowski’s horror show at Molineux earlier in the season.
Who takes your vote as Everton’s Player of the Year for 2025? 👏
Everton lost 2-0 in the Carabao Cup and, as per SofaScore, Tarkowski was rated the worst player on the pitch with a 5.8 rating.
Tarkowski didn’t win a single tackle or ground duel, lost possession 13 times and only made six defensive contributions in his 90-minute display.
How Everton can line up without James Tarkowski
Tarkowski has been ever-present for Everton this season, playing every single minute of their Premier League and Carabao Cup campaigns so far in 2025/26.
Moyes is yet to line up without the 33-year-old defender, but there are options he could explore against Wolves.

O’Brien was fantastic at centre-back against Forest, and he could line up alongside Keane in the heart of defence.
That would allow for Patterson to return to the starting XI at right-back. Patterson made his first start of the season against Forest and he played a pivotal role in helping to keep a clean sheet.
