Everton supporters have already shared their concerns over what The Friedkin Group’s aspirations are on Merseyside.
With the opening weeks of this summer’s transfer market in the books, Everton are yet to open their account through a new signing.
The Friedkins simply have to back David Moyes with new additions having seen how the squad capitulated in the final months of the 2025/26 campaign.
Everton’s fixtures for 2026/27 have been released! What immediately caught your eye about them? 🤩
However, the focus of the Everton owners will naturally come under further scrutiny as they look set to invest even more of their money elsewhere.

The Friedkin Group eyeing $3.5bn investment away from Everton
A report from The Athletic has claimed the Friedkins are weighing up a $3.5bn (£2.6bn) investment through an NHL expansion in Texas.
An agreement has been reached between the Friedkins and the NHL, with $2bn covering the expansion costs and $1.5bn covering a new arena in Texas.
How would you rate The Friedkin Group’s first year at Everton? 👏
The expansion will see the proposed NHL team play in either Houston or Austin.
At a time when Everton are failing to inspire their supporters in the summer transfer market, this is not the best look for the Friedkins.
Why Everton supporters are unconvinced by The Friedkin Group
Taking to TalkingPoints, there have been a number of Everton supporters to share their concerns about how invested the Friedkins really are on Merseyside.
“Yes it makes you wonder if they’re using Everton to make more money for themselves… to spend on Roma. I hope not but it makes you wonder doesn’t it,” said one Evertonian.
It is not just Everton fans who are voicing their frustrations with the Friedkins, though.
Roma supporters are furious with the Friedkins as it becomes apparent that the Americans may be struggling to keep on top of all of their investments.
Perhaps the Friedkins have their fingers in too many pies currently, which is only going to increase if they take on this proposed NHL expansion.

The Friedkins are supporting Everton’s compensation appeal with Burnley as a staggering £40m is potentially needing to be paid out.
Although this is clearly a big positive for the club, it does not detract away from Everton’s dithering approach to this summer’s transfer window.
Of course, Everton are not quite yet in a position where they can spend as freely as the likes of Tottenham Hotspur.
The financial regulations have to be considered, but the Blues also find themselves in a position where Everton are struggling to reach an agreement for Hayden Hackney.
Everton supporters were hoping for significant improvements following the takeover back in 2024, yet the progress made on the pitch has been marginal.
It is only natural that fans may well feel as if the Friedkins are now biting off more than they can chew as they look to take on their biggest project yet.
The ship may have been steadied on Merseyside, but there is a clear belief that the wind has been taken from their sails since the novelty of the takeover wore off.
