Everton, under the misguided leadership of Farhad Moshiri, have fallen off a cliff with regard to their progression as a club.
Receiving the financial backing of a billionaire in 2016 saw the fanbase promised the world, but in the end, all they have received is heartache and pain.
As such, people have rushed to lambast his conduct.
Jamie Carragher has been one vocal pundit in the media, whilst many sections of Goodison Park are well aware of his missteps too.
However, perhaps the most critical of them all is writer, podcaster and meticulous financial guru Paul, who goes by ‘The Esk’ on X, formerly Twitter.
Although perhaps accused of persistent negativity, his reports are very often informative and shed light on the failures behind the scenes. His latest rant is once again aimed at Moshiri, but spreads his frustrations out onto 777 Partners too.
He wrote: ‘2 months after announcing Moshiri & 777 partners had agreed a t/o of Everton not one shred of evidence has been provided by Moshiri, 777 or Everton that 777 are the right, let alone fit & proper future owners of Everton FC. The floor is open to any connected party to prove such’.
How much are 777 Partners worth?
Whilst there are valid points in what The Esk is claiming, the vast fortune that backs the Miami-based firm is impossible to deny even if the manner in which they amassed such huge funds has come under scrutiny.
Whilst fans were likely delighted to see Moshiri first invest, given his $3.1bn (£2.5bn) net worth, that pails in comparison to those who are set to usurp him.
After all, to own numerous clubs in the manner in which they do, ranging from Sevilla and Genoa to Melbourne Victory and Vasco da Gama, they would need far more funds.
The hope will be that, due to their Premier League ties and the revenue that comes with that, Everton are the beneficiaries of the bulk of the $12bn (£9.63bn) fortune of 777 Partners, who have been to watch numerous matches now.
