Everton have been scouting Championship hot-shot Zan Vipotnik.
According to TEAMtalk, the Toffees have made detailed checks on the Slovenia international, who is currently top of the scoring chart in the English second tier.
Which of these players do you want to see Everton SIGN in 2026?
The following names have been suggested by fans on TalkingPoints…
Everton have been keeping their eyes peeled for a new striker, and there was potential for the club to sign someone in the last window.
But no move materialised, with Beto and Thierno Barry seemingly doing enough to convince at the time.
But now Everton are being linked with Vipotnik, who is currently one of the Championship’s star attractions.
Everton have scouted Zan Vipotnik, but there’s a couple of issues

TEAMtalk have reported today that Everton are one of several clubs to have made detailed checks on Vipotnik, who has regularly impressed for Swansea City.
So far, he’s plundered 20 goals, meaning he currently leads the race for the Golden Boot. He is four clear of his nearest challenger Hagi Wright.
That haul of 20 means he’s easily outscored Everton striker’s Beto and Thierno Barry, who have a combined 12 league goals between them this term.
Everton face two possible issues though, if a summer swoop is in the pipeline.
The first is that several other clubs are circling, including:
- Newcastle
- Aston Villa
- Leeds
- Brentford
- West Ham
- Everton

The other is that Vipotnik actually did sign a contract extension with Swansea recently, meaning they are in a strong position for any negotiations.
That will surely mean that any club wanting to prise Vipotnik away from the Liberty Stadium is going to have to pay top dollar.
It has previously been suggested (Wales Online) that Vipotnik was valued around the £15 million mark. They will almost certainly demand more now.
Zan Vipotnik factfile
Age – 24
Position/s – Striker
Height – 6ft 1in
Previous clubs – Maribor, Gorica (loan), Triglav Kranj (loan), Bordeaux
International caps/goals – 24/5
But he may still be worth Everton keeping a eye on in the coming months.
Ultimately, there have been several strikers who played in the Championship before moving up to the Premier League and thriving, such as Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins, Callum Wilson and Viktor Gyokeres.
