Everton’s Fan Advisory Board has just sent a message to the Premier League after strange post

Everton have been at odds with the Premier League all season, for a multitude of reasons.

Firstly, 777 Partners’ takeover has consistently faltered and showed no signs of life, yet Richard Masters and co have been happy to allow this firm to continue stringing along the fanbase.

Secondly, the financial distress of the club has not been met with sympathy, but rather aggression, seeing two separate points deductions administered which very nearly condemned them to the drop.

Evertonians are justifiably angry with the Premier League, with their frustration evident before kick-off at every match at Goodison Park, where boos ring out as the division’s anthem plays.

Their grievances have all been well justified, and whilst this latest one might seem somewhat petty, in the grand scheme of things it only adds to the frustration.

The Premier League ignore Everton in end-of-season round-up

Today marks the final day of the Premier League campaign, and with it came a post from their official X account.

An emotional cartoon videos detailing the outstanding moments of the season, they flicked through major transfers, big results and managerial changes, culminating in the title tug-of-war that will play out between Arsenal and Manchester City later today.

But when Evertonians watched the video, a curious thing was missing. Everton.

Aside from two cameos in scorelines in which they lost, the Toffees were completely absent. It was as if they hadn’t done a single thing all campaign, let alone make history as the first club to withstand two deductions in one season and still stay up.

The fanbase has become used to this kind of behaviour, and for most, it warranted an eye roll at most. But Everton’s Fan Advisory Board have bitten back, writing: ‘To the @premierleague – on behalf of every single Evertonian on the planet… We’re. Still. Here.

‘You can try to whitewash us out of your history, but we were here before you, and we will ABSOLUTELY be here after you. We shall NOT be moved.’

The Premier League cannot silence Everton

It is truly laughable how poorly the Premier League have dealt with Everton this season.

Clearly, some form of punishment was warranted for their blatant flouting of PSR. However, by administering not one but two deductions, they inexplicably went for the fanbase rather than the owner whose doorstep this mess lands at.

Farhad Moshiri is to blame, yet he has seen no punishment.

Evertonians have done all they can to get their message across to the Premier League and the wider public, condemning their treatment, but even high-profile figures like Andy Burnham have been silenced, with Sky Sports pulling Burnham’s interview in which he was vocal in his frustration on the matter.

The division has made an enemy for life this season, and in picking the Toffees as their scapegoat, they will likely soon find out what a mistake this will prove to be.
