Scoring a hat-trick for Everton is a dream only a select few will ever get to realise.

1. Dixie Dean – 17 October 1925 – 18 years, 268 days: Dean is the only player to score a Toffees hat-trick before the age of 19. He smashed in three goals in a 3-1 away win over Burnley to make history.
2. Tommy Lawton – 5 November 1938 – 19 years, 30 days: Lawton hit his treble in a 4-0 home win over Middlesbrough in the old Division 1.
3. Tommy Browell – 8 February 1912 – 19 years, 112 days: Everton thumped Bury 6-0 in an FA Cup second round replay on the day Browell did this.

4. Alf Milward – 18 January 1890 – 19 years, 128 days: Everton racked up one of their biggest wins of all time here, beating Derby 11-2.
5. Joe Royle – 30 November 1968 – 19 years, 236 days: Royle is the most modern marksman on the list, grabbing three goals in a 7-1 home win over Leicester.

1. Sam Chedgzoy – 14 April 1922 – 33 years, 77 days: Everton thumped Huddersfield 6-2 at Goodison Park on the way Chedgzoy made himself the club’s oldest ever hat-trick scorer.
2. Jock Dodds – 25 September 1948 – 33 years, 18 days: A 4-1 home win over Preston in the old Division 1 saw Dodds dominate the scoring.
3. Louis Saha – 5 February 2011 – 32 years, 181 days: Saha netted four goals in this Premier League 5-3 victory over Blackpool, no doubt delighting fantasy football managers across the country.
4. Harry Potts – 13 December 1952 – 32 years, 52 days: A Division 2 clash with Bury was the scene for Potts’ goal rush.
5. Wayne Rooney – 29 November 2017 – 32 years, 36 days: During his second spell with Everton, Rooney produced a masterclass to see off West Ham, including a long-range chip to catch Joe Hart out.
