The Toffees had to endure a quiet market in January after stomaching a second charge for a breach of FFP. An independent commission slapped Everton with a 10-point deduction after penning losses of £124.5m from 2019/20 to 21/22. The Blues are still appealing the penalty.
Another independent commission is also reviewing the Premier League’s second charge for Everton exceeding its £105m limit for losses between 2020/21 and 22/23. The league ruled in January that the Blues had fallen outside of the profit and sustainability rules (PSR) again.
