Everton forward Tom Cannon has now received his first senior international call-up following an impressive spell on loan at Preston North End.
The ‘excellent’ 20-year-old joined the Deepdale club on loan in January and has thrived under manager Ryan Lowe, scoring eight goals in 20 games.
Indeed, Cannon has been on fire at the Championship side, and has deservedly received his first senior international call-up.

Cannon has been included in Stephen Kenny’s Republic of Ireland squad as they prepare for the next round of Euro 2024 qualifiers, as per BBC Sport.
Indeed, Kenny’s side travel to Greece next month, before hosting Gibraltar three days later in Dublin in what will be a terrific opportunity for Cannon to take the next step in his career.
The youngster has previously turned out for the Republic of Ireland at U19, U20 and U21 levels, but a stellar campaign at Deepdale has clearly caught the eye of Stephen Kenny ahead of important fixtures.

Everton could turn to Cannon to bring goals to Goodison next season
Tom Cannon made his senior debut at Everton earlier this season, making a late substitute appearance in November’s 4-1 defeat at Bournemouth in the EFL Cup, before making his Premier League debut four days later in a 3-0 defeat at the same ground.
Contracted at Everton until June 2025 following a renewed deal for the 20-year-old last summer, there are high hopes that Cannon will soon be ready to help lead the line at Goodison Park.

The young man clearly has bags of potential, and the experience of an international call-up following a successful loan spell will surely aid him in taking the next step in his career.
Everton will need striking reinforcements this summer, and Tom Cannon could well earn a place in Sean Dyche’s squad next season.
