Everton have shown some improvement over recent weeks before their Premier League campaign was disrupted by the international break.

Sean Dyche‘s side are finally up and running in the league with five points to their name and a golden opportunity to put a further three points on the board against Ipswich Town.

It is still far too early for Everton fans to let their guard down with the bottom end of the table still extremely tight.

But there have been some positive signs over recent weeks with a win over Crystal Palace followed by a solid draw against Newcastle United.

Excitement will be building around the club with The Friedkin Group’s potential takeover as the American billionaire, Dan Friedkin, gets ready to collect the keys for Goodison Park.

But there is also excitement building within the club over two players who are already at the club.

Which two players Everton are excited to see in action

It has by no means been a straightforward start to the season for Everton with the Toffees taking four games to get going.

However, there have been some impressive individual displays in that time with Iliman Ndiaye wowing the Everton fans after signing in the summer.

But there is two players who are yet to even feature this season who those inside the club are looking forward to seeing back on the pitch.

Speaking in a Q&A for The Athletic, journalist Patrick Boyland shared Everton’s excitement in seeing Youssef Chermiti and Armando Broja return.

“There’s excitement internally about what Chermiti and Armando Broja can bring, but first they need to get fit. Given the nature of their injuries (foot for Chermiti and Achilles for Broja), Everton will be cautious over their reintegration,” said Boyland.

“The feeling is that Chermiti needs regular games to continue his development. If that’s not at Goodison, then it will have to be elsewhere on loan. He’s been very unlucky, as I believe he was down to start some pre-season matches and had impressed.”

Youssef Chermiti and Armando Broja injury update

There has been some frustrating injury news of late at Everton with Jarrad Branthwaite out of action through injury once again.

However, there is some promising news on the two Everton forwards who has so many people around the club excited.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Dyche revealed the two forwards are now back on the grass as they make their returns from their respective issues.

Given Everton have not exactly been flying in the Premier League with Dominic Calvert-Lewin only netting twice this season, more competition up top could be exactly what the Toffees need.
