Bournemouth are closing in on a move for Patson Daka.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who has reported that the Cherries are set to sign the striker on loan with an option to buy next summer.

Daka has been the subject of plenty of interest in recent months following Leicester City’s relegation to the Championship, with Everton one club who were previously circling the Zambian.

Daka joined Leicester in a £23 million deal two years ago and scored nine goals and provided seven assists in the Premier League, while he bagged an impressive five goals in only six appearances in the Europa League.

Despite often struggling to make his mark on the Foxes’ team, Everton were considering a move to bring Daka back to the top flight.

However, the Toffees choose not to make a offer for the 24-year-old and instead landed Portuguese duo, Beto and Youssef Chermiti.

Daka was also said to be in talks with AS Monaco last month, while AC Milan had reportedly sent a loan offer to Leicester City on deadline day.

However, it looks like he is now set to earn himself a return to the Premier League with Bournemouth.

Kelechi Iheanacho, who Everton had also been linked with, appears to be the striker that will be forced to remain at the King Power Stadium. The Nigerian had looked the more likely to leave the Championship, but he is yet to receive an offer ahead of the 11pm deadline.

Meanwhile, Che Adams was another of Everton’s reported targets that were set for a Premier League comeback. However, Southampton decided to block the Scot’s move to Wolves today and he will now stay in the second tier.
