Everton will finally announce the signing of Youssef Chermiti today.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who has reported that the forward is now undergoing his long awaited medical after the Toffees completed the deal.
Chermiti came onto Everton’s radar last month after a breakthrough season for Sporting Lisbon that saw him score three goals and provide two assists after making his debut in January.

It was reported that Sean Dyche’s side had come to an agreement over a £15 million deal for Chermiti earlier this month and Sky Sports had initially reported that he would undergo a medical at the start of last week.
However, fans were left frustrated as Chermiti’s move to Goodison Park was delayed and he wasn’t available for their final pre-season match against Sporting at the weekend as expected.
Romano has now revealed that the 19-year-old will finally be announced as Everton’s third signing of the summer this afternoon and should be eligible to face Fulham this weekend.

Youssef Chermiti could be limited to a cameo appearance for Everton this weekend
Everton fans will still be frustrated by the fact that Youssef Chermiti hasn’t already been on Merseyside for the past week.
If the striker had been able to feature for the Toffees in their final pre-season match then he would have been a lot more prepared going into the opening day of the Premier League campaign.

However, Chermiti’s lack of time with the first team squad means he could be limited to a very brief appearance against Fulham – if he is included in the team at all.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin recovering from an injury and Arnaut Danjuma only returning to training this week, it will be interesting to see who starts up top at Goodison Park.
