Forget The United Strand, when did Everton last win five games in a row?

The United Strand has become an internet sensation as Everton and the rest of the Premier League watch Manchester United attempt to win five games in a row.

Frank Ilett – the fan’s actual name – declared back in October 2024 that he would not be cutting his hair again until Manchester United won five games in a row, a moment he is still waiting for.

It last happened for the Red Devils – who want Iliman Ndiaye – in February 2024.

With Ilett now looking like a guard at Buckingham Palace as his hair balloons out of control, Everton supporters will be shocked to hear when the Toffees last managed to win five games in a row.

What would your message to David Moyes be after another loss at home? 😫

He seemed fairly pleased with his players despite the defeat 😬

Not since September 2020 have Everton recorded five wins in a row

1,965 days have passed since Everton last managed to record five consecutive wins.

It came while Carlo Ancelotti was at the helm, with the Toffees starting the 2020/21 campaign on fire as the Italian oversaw seven victories in a row.

Remarkably, it was Everton’s best start to a season since 1894.

However, Ancelotti never managed to do it again, nor have any of his successors in Rafa Benitez, Frank Lampard, Sean Dyche or David Moyes.

So, had any Everton fans announced a similar challenge to The United Strand back in 2021 for example, they would be walking around Merseyside looking akin to Rapunzel right now.

What is the longest winning run Everton have ever put together?

Speaking of 1894, that year actually saw Everton record a 12-game winning streak, which remains the longest run of victories the Toffees have ever put together.

All 12 matches came in the Football League, which is the equivalent to the Premier League nowadays, with a comprehensive 3-0 win over rivals Liverpool marking the last victory of the streak.

What is going so wrong at the Hill Dickinson Stadium for Everton? 😳

It is now less than one win in every three following the loss against Bournemouth… 😤

With Everton currently without a win in six games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Moyes would absolutely love to oversee a similar run of form with the Toffees.
