Former Everton cult hero Yerry Mina has found himself at the centre of a storm with Como striker Alvaro Morata.
Yerry Mina may have had some ups and downs at Everton, but he certainly emerged as a fan favourite.
The Colombian defender joined Everton from Barcelona in 2018 and suffered repeated injuries at Goodison Park.
Mina was brilliant when fit, though, and supporters certainly loved his dancing moves.
Seamus Coleman was a fan of Mina, but the giant defender decided to take his talents to Italy in 2023.

Former Everton star Yerry Mina branded ‘annoying’ after Alvaro Morata clash
Mina joined Fiorentina, but departed for Italian rivals Cagliari after just a matter of months in Florence.
The move has worked out well, as Mina has been hailed as a ‘gladiator’ at Cagliari.
The last few days have seen Mina hit the headlines in Italy after a battle with Como striker Alvaro Morata.
Mina had been aggressive against Morata throughout a 0-0 draw between Como and Cagliari.
It all boiled over at one point, as Morata barged into the back of Mina with the ball nowhere near him.
Morata immediately signalled to the bench for a substitution as he picked up a yellow card, seemingly too frustrated with Mina’s antics.
Como boss Cesc Fabregas suggested that Mina is ‘annoying’ to play against and warned Morata not to get involved.
That didn’t really work, as Fabregas was left urging referees to deal with Mina’s antics.
“We know what kind of player Mina is, but these are things the referees have to deal with. I prefer not to say anything,” said Fabregas, as quoted by Tuttomercatoweb.
“I also told him to remember who he was playing against. He knew. It’s annoying sometimes, but we have to be good at pushing that thought away and playing the game,” he added.
Yerry Mina laughs off Alvaro Morata clash
Everton fans know all about Mina’s reputation as a wind-up merchant, and he even clashed with Morata during the Spaniard’s time at Chelsea.
Seeing Mina still up to his old tricks will bring a smile to the faces of many Everton fans.
Mina commented on the situation himself and refused to offer any kind of apology for his style of play.
In true Mina fashion, the former Everton defender vowed to tackle his mother, wife or daughter if necessary.
Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland found out about Mina’s style in 2023, and it looks like nothing has changed.
“We know that Morata is a strong player, but I’m strong on every ball. I don’t give a damn if my mother, my wife, my daughter is there, I always go strong. You know this well, and it’s a different game I’m playing with the striker,” said Mina, as quoted by Tuttomercatoweb.
Mina appears to be enjoying himself in Italy, and Everton fans will love seeing him wind up Serie A strikers for fun.
