Everton are flying in the Premier League following the appointment of David Moyes last month.
The Toffees could not have asked for much of a better start under the 61-year-old with Everton pulling clear of the danger zone.
And this comes despite a quiet January transfer window despite the Friedkins being keen to sign two new players.
Prior to Moyes’ return, Everton have been forced to sell some of their top assets over recent years to meet the PSR regulations.
And the Blues have seen some of those players go on to really impress with their new clubs.
However, there is now one who has been publicly slammed by his manager after what he did on Tuesday night in the Champions League.

Atalanta manager slams former Everton forward Ademola Lookman
Since leaving Merseyside, Ademola Lookman has gone on to really develop his game and become one of the best in Europe.
Lookman was nominated for the Ballon d’Or after a stunning season with Atalanta where they won the Europa League.
However, things may have turned slightly sour in Bergamo on Tuesday night after Gian Piero Gasperini slammed the Nigeria international.
Atalanta were dumped out of the Champions League by Club Brugge over two legs with Lookman missing a penalty on Tuesday night.
“His manager did not take well to the miss from the spot,” Gasperini said.
“Ademola Lookman is one of the worst penalty takers I’ve ever seen”. “He wanted to take the penalty after scoring a goal, he took the ball despite Retegui and De Keteleare available to take it… I didn’t like what Lookman did”.
Gasperini hailed Lookman earlier in the season when his nominations were coming through for the various awards.
But it seems the frustrations got to the Atalanta manager following the Champions League elimination.
Ademola Lookman has excelled since leaving Everton
Lookman’s career since leaving the Premier League has been one of the real success stories for players needing a fresh start.
Over recent months, Lookman said regular game time has helped him develop after departing England.
That is probably why everyone was left so shocked by his penalty miss in the Champions League on Tuesday.
However, his returns across all competitions have been seriously impressive once again this season.
| Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Serie A | 19 | 10 | 5 |
| Champions League | 7 | 5 | 2 |
The Nigerian has impressed so much that it has even been claimed Liverpool are eyeing Lookman over a potential Premier League return.
