Former Everton midfielder Amadou Onana appears to be delving into a new career away from football.

Amadou Onana, who left Everton in a £50m deal during the summer of 2024, is considered one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the Premier League.

Onana was a key figure in Aston Villa’s remarkable success last term, as he helped them win the Europa League and finish in the top four.

Interestingly, it seems the Belgium international is also a very talented musician, and he has actually been signed by Lil Wayne’s Young Money Agency.

Onana released his first-ever song in July 2024 under the name 24am on YouTube, and it racked up 53,000 hits without much promotion.

The former Toffee has continued to put out new records on his channel, with his most recent track, ‘We are Belgium’, released just before the World Cup.

Quite clearly, Lil Wayne’s agency has spotted Onana’s talent as he signed a deal with them back in January.

The 24-year-old has now met up with Lil Wayne in Los Angeles following Belgium’s goalless draw with Iran.

Lil Wayne, who is a five-time Grammy winner, has a whopping 19 million followers on Instagram, so it’s a pretty sizable career move for Onana to join his team.

Perhaps his music will be pushed out to the American market over the next few years, and he could become a global rap artist.

That’d be some story, although Unai Emery probably won’t be too keen if he views it as a potential distraction.
