Harrison Armstrong is considered one of the best prospects Everton have produced in years.
When Harrison Armstrong was on loan at Preston North End last season, many fans were tipping him to become England captain one day.
That’s how much he was impressing in the Championship, and Derby County fans said similar things the previous campaign.
Where has this version of Iliman Ndiaye been hiding for the last three months? 🤩
Welcome back, Ili!
After two highly successful loans, Everton decided to recall him in January and put him straight into the first team.
However, David Moyes has only given Armstrong a handful of minutes, which has put his future into doubt ahead of the new season.
That said, there’s been a fresh update on his situation, which may frustrate Toffees fans.

Harrison Armstrong looking at moving to Germany or France to develop
According to Alan Nixon, Armstrong is considering a move away from Everton this summer to further develop his career.
After being benched for most of the second half of the season, the 19-year-old is looking at another potential loan move.
It’s being reported that Armstrong and his representatives are eyeing up a move overseas, with clubs in Germany and France a possibility.
Despite Championship interest, it seems their preference is to leave the country and explore a new footballing culture.
That must be pretty annoying to hear as Everton fans, as he really should be a key pillar of Moyes’ midfield.
Moyes outers… is there anything he can do to change your mind? 🤔
Most other Premier League clubs would be starting Armstrong on a regular basis, or certainly giving him plenty of football.
Look at Jack Hinshelwood at Brighton or Lewis Miley at Newcastle; these young players have become regulars at European-level sides.
But Moyes is so reliant on the old guard to do that. The Scotsman rarely gives youth a chance, as evinced by the lack of opportunities for Tyler Dibling and Adam Aznou.
Armstrong won’t want a season like those two, and clearly that’s what his camp are currently fearing if they’re exploring moves away already.
Moyes really needs to freshen up his approach and evolve this ageing squad, otherwise, he probably won’t be rewarded with a new contract.
Many Toffees supporters are already calling for him to leave, and this story certainly won’t encourage them to change their minds.
