The win against Brentford means that Everton are now 15th in the Premier League table with four points from six matches.
The Toffees are three points above the relegation zone.
Everton will face Aston Villa in the EFL Cup in midweek before locking horns with Luton Town at Goodison Park in the Premier League next weekend.

In our view, it is a big win for Everton.
Brentford are a very good team and were at home for the match.
Yet, it was the Toffees who have picked up the three points.
And Everton were the better side.
Sean Dyche’s side attacked with confidence and were defensively very strong as well.
Everton needed the win.
The fans needed the win.
Sean Dyche needed the win.
The Toffees will now have to kick on.
It is important that Everton build on this win and push on.
It is going to be a long and hard season.
No one should be under any illusion that it is going to be easy from now on.
