Everton want a strong core to their team, but having exciting attackers would make them a serious threat.
A striker is lacking in the department of David Moyes’ squad, with Beto struggling to maintain consistency.
Iliman Ndiaye looks to be the biggest threat, but that leaves two slots untouched in what could be a fantastic front three for Everton.
It’s been made clear in Everton’s four priority positions that a right-winger, along with a number nine, is what is needed.
With a budget of £100m, it could prove to be difficult, but Virgil van Dijk has given the Toffees every reason to achieve a £29m deal.

Virgil van Dijk said Everton target Baris Alper Yilmaz was a nightmare
With serious improvements needed, The Friedkin Group can now explore the market to find a few gems.
They’re already losing a chance with some of their targets as Habib Diarra could be going to Leeds United, but they need to make sure they get this one wrapped up.
Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz is available for £29m, with Everton interested as the need for another winger is clear.
After a four-season spell with the Turkish giants, he now might be considering a move, and he certainly caught the eye of Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.
Speaking in a post-match press conference after Netherlands beat Turkey 2-1 in the Euro 2024 quarter-finals, the Dutch captain made something clear about Yilmaz.
“Yılmaz was constantly running. He was a real handful,” Van Dijk said.
“It’s tough for any defender. He gave us a hard time. He didn’t score, but if we were to describe him, he’s truly an important player.”
Yilmaz could complete an exciting triangle for Everton
The Turkish attacker getting praise from one of the best defenders in the world says it all for Moyes.
This was with Turkey, where Yilmaz caught the eye in the Euros, but with Galatasaray, he’s been equally as good.
To have Ndiaye and Yilmaz on both wings, followed by a striker like Aleksander Mitrovic joining, would make Moyes’ side very threatening.
This will be the aim of The Friedkins, but deals need to be done early, otherwise there will be panic stations.
