Arnaut Danjuma has opened up about start to life at Everton.
Speaking to evertontv, the Dutchman admitted he is getting closer to where he wants to be every day as he looks to help the team ‘in the best way possible’.
After Danjuma came under criticism on Merseyside after he rejected Everton to join Tottenham Hotspur at the last minute back in January, the forward finally secured a loan move to the club this summer.
The 26-year-old struggled for minutes on the pitch with Tottenham but has been given much more of an important role at Goodison Park, making three starts in their opening six matches.
Despite a difficult start to the season for Everton, Danjuma was one of a few bright sparks and scored in back-to-back games against Doncaster Rovers and Sheffield United.

Despite a decent first couple of months at the club, Danjuma has admitted that still isn’t fully fit since he arrived in the Premier League halfway through pre-season.
“We’re getting closer and closer to where we want to be,” Danjuma told evertontv. “We’re still early in the season and there are still a lot of improvements to be had. There are players to come back from injury.
“With myself, I missed the majority of pre-season, so I have to make sure I’m getting fitter every day to make sure I can help the team in the best way possible.
“We have to learn from the past and make sure we build upon it. I think that’s what we’re doing. We could’ve started the season better, but we need to keep going, and those two wins will have brought us belief.”
Can Arnaut Danjuma keep his place in the Everton XI?
Arnaut Danjuma was left out of the starting line-up against Brentford but returned for their win over Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup. The Villarreal loanee is going to have to really impress to keep his place as he is now facing competition from the likes of Jack Harrison and Dwight McNeil.

For a team that have been used to really lacking attacking options, it is great for Sean Dyche to be provided with more of a dilemma of who to pick to feature out wide for Everton.
As long as every player can keep up their form then the Toffees should really benefit from having Danjuma and others to choose from.
