We rarely see footballers questioned about things that aren’t directly related to how their team is performing.
For example, Everton’s players are usually grilled on their performance or ‘what they thought of the VAR decision’.
Now and then, it’s nice to see a player answer questions that have no relevance to matters on the field, and that’s exactly what Sky Sports have done with Vitaly Mykolenko.

Vitaly Mykolenko opens up on life at Everton
The 24-year-old has enjoyed an excellent season, making the left-back role his own.
The Ukrainian feels more at home on Merseyside, with Sean Dyche’s influence helping.
He has started 20 out of Everton’s 25 Premier League matches and is probably one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Now, Mykolenko has shared some insight on his teammates at Finch Farm.
On who is the funniest, the left-back said (via Sky Sports): “I think the funniest player is Nathan Patterson. He’s so loud in the dressing room but he’s so funny. He always stays positive.”
It’s good to see the Scot remaining positive despite only starting nine matches this season. The 22-year-old has been blighted by injuries during his time at Goodison Park.
The defender’s last outing came during the Toffees’ FA Cup loss to Luton Town in the middle of January.
At the moment, Dyche has preferred to deploy a more experienced head in the right-back role. Nevertheless, Patterson has remained steadfast in his desire to impress the former Burnley boss.
“The Gaffer says to us, ‘Anytime you get an opportunity you have to take it’,” he told Everton TV.

“It’s good to know you are in his plans for the future, and at present as well. Anytime he plays me from the start, I want to make sure I am doing my best and showing him why I should stay in the team.”
Patterson will likely be called upon between now and the end of the season, and the right-back must take his chance.
With Ashley Young’s career entering its latter stages, the Toffees require competition in that area of the pitch, and the 22-year-old could emerge as a long-term option moving forward.
