How much Tottenham Hotspur are asking for to sell Yves Bissouma to Everton

Everton remain in the market to add another midfielder to their squad over the final weeks of the window.

The clock is ticking down on any final additions to arrive before the game against Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.

But David Moyes and his transfer recruitment team still have just under two weeks to wrap up the loose ends in their transfer business.

Unfortunately, it looks as if Nottingham Forest have beaten Everton to Douglas Luiz, with their Europa League qualification really helping their cause.

But that is something which Everton will be aspiring to achieve this season, despite their rocky start on Monday evening.

Everton have shown an interest in Yves Bissouma already this summer, and his asking price has now been shared ahead of a potential Tottenham Hotspur exit.

Tottenham’s asking price for Everton target Yves Bissouma shared

Bissouma missed Tottenham’s win over Burnley on the weekend, with Thomas Frank having suspended him earlier in the week.

The Danish coach claimed his absence on Saturday was through injury and not any further off-field issues.

Speaking on the Last Word On Spurs podcast, Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has now shared just how much Spurs could ask for their Mali midfielder.

“Well he’d love to stay in the Premier League because if he stays in England, in one year’s time, he can become a UK citizen,” said O’Keefe (1:28:00).

“He’s keen to stay in England. I don’t think moving abroad is going to tickle his fancy. I know that West Ham looked at the beginning of the window, but they’ve not returned since. I understand Everton are considering him, but not really concrete enough to say they’re going to make a move.”

“The money they’re talking about is peanuts, £12m/£14m for him. He’s in his last year, so they’d take £12m/£14m.”

Tim Iroegbunam started for Everton on Monday evening away to Leeds United, with further additions clearly being eyed.

Bissouma said he’s the best midfielder in the Premier League, previously, and that is the calibre of player Everton would love to add to their squad.

Everton must be aware of Bissouma’s baggage

A £12m deal for a player of Bissouma’s experience would feel like a steal for Everton, but he would come with plenty of issues.

Frank omitted Bissouma from his Super Cup squad last week after the midfielder was continually late to Tottenham training.

And this is not the first issue Bissouma has had behind the scenes at Spurs, with Ange Postecoglou also suspending him.

Clearly, this is a player with a lot of quality, but he has shown a real struggle to take advice on board.

Whether Moyes would be willing to welcome a player like this into Finch Farm will remain to be seen.
