Jack Grealish made his Everton debut against newly-promoted Leeds United in the final Premier League match of gameweek one on Monday evening.

Jack Grealish has been Everton’s statement signing this summer, having joined on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City.

Surprisingly, Grealish started on the bench against Leeds but came on for the final 20 minutes as David Moyes’ side searched for a winner.

The 29-year-old entered the action to loud booes, which somewhat amplifies the fact that Leeds fans knew he could be a game-changer.

Here’s what Premier League fans made of his debut at Elland Road.

Premier League fans have a lot to say about Everton’s Jack Grealish vs Leeds United

Ultimately, it ended in defeat for Everton and Grealish wasn’t afforded too much time to make an impact on the game.

However, there were glimpses and football fans across the league have had their say on how he looked in an Everton shirt.

“The Jack Grealish and Dewsbury-Hall partnership on the left will feed Everton this season. The need to always play together,” @alijaxz posted.

“Grealish is gonna get doubled up on all season ..it’s going to be tough for him at Everton cos everyone knows he will be their main man,” @MarkHil10062095 added.

@ledgerharry2 commented: “Jack Grealish is a very very good footballer. P***** me off how he’s just been rotting at City for the past 3 years.”

@JackJolleyEFC explained: “Grealish should’ve started, much rather give him 60 minutes to start with than bring him on the last 25 or so, especially without McNeil not in the starting line up, there’s simply no creativity.”

“S*** decision but Leeds played us off the park until Grealish came on,” @dantrublu noted.

“Only thing I can take away from that is Grealish looked absolutely sound. No more good things, everything else absolutely s****,” @IAmStafford_ said.

Jack Grealish stats vs Leeds United

Despite limited minutes, Grealish was constantly demanding the ball and tried to create chances without much success.

As fans noted, there were signs that he and Dewsbury-Hall could form a really good understanding, as they bounced off each other nicely.

The Toffees take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the Hill Dickinson Stadium next, which will surely see Grealish make his full debut.

Moyes will hope to have more signings through the door at Finch Farm by then, with the lack of an attacking threat clear.

Tyler Dibling remains a target for Everton.
