Gabriel Agbonlahor has made his prediction for Everton’s trip to Brentford.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the pundit has claimed that the hosts will enjoy a ‘comfortable’ 3-0 win over the Toffees this weekend.

Everton are desperately in need of some points after suffering four defeats from five this season, with their only draw coming against Sheffield United prior to the international break.

After a tough match against Arsenal that ended their six-year unbeaten run against the Gunners at Goodison Park, the Toffees will now face Brentford in the English capital.

The Bees have had a mixed bag of results so far, claiming three draws, one win and one defeat.

While Thomas Frank’s side picked up a very good point against Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day, they were also unable to beat Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.

Everton’s defence will be glad that they don’t have to deal with Ivan Toney this weekend, though Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa have been doing a very good job in his absence, netting six goals between them.

Brentford are unsurprisingly the favourites to pick up their second win of the campaign, though Sean Dyche’s side will be confident that it is a winnable fixture.

However, Agbonlahor clearly doesn’t think so and expects a very easy afternoon for Brentford.

“I think this is going to be a tough game for Everton,” Agbonlahor said.

“Brentford…Mbeumo…Wissa….in top, top form. Scoring goals and assists. A lot of pace and power as well.

“I think it’s going to be a tough game for Everton. 3-0, I’m going to go. I think it’ll be a comfortable win for Brentford. They have got too much to offer.”

Everton need points on the board

Sean Dyche will be under increasing pressure if Everton are to get hammered this weekend, though they will certainly be expected to beat Luton Town and Bournemouth in the following fixtures.

With a number of teams still yet to properly kickstart their campaign, the Toffees only need one win to really step up and move away from the likes of Burnley, Wolves and Luton.

With the latter two set to face off this weekend, it could be a brilliant opportunity for Everton to move away from the pack.
